Privacy policy
This explains what information PriceBench holds about you, why, and what your rights are. It is written in plain English on purpose.
Who we are
PriceBench is run by Paul Woods, a sole trader based in Glasgow, Scotland. For data protection law I am the "controller" of your information. You can contact me at hello@pricebench.co.uk. This will change to a company name if I set one up, and I will update this page.
What we collect

The customer details you type into a job are about your customers. You decide what to enter. Please only enter what you need to quote and invoice, and keep to the law on your own customers' information.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics on the app. The app stores settings and your unfinished job on your own device so it can remember them.
Who else handles the information

I do not sell your information or share it for marketing.
Our legal basis
We use your information to provide the service you signed up for (contract), to keep the service secure and to reply to you (legitimate interests), and to keep accounting records for payments when they begin (legal obligation).
How long we keep it
We keep your account and jobs while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and your saved jobs within 30 days. Payment records, once payments start, are kept for as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete what we hold about you, and you can object to how we use it. Email hello@pricebench.co.uk and I will reply within a month. If you are not happy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
Connections to the site are encrypted. Each account can only read its own jobs. No system is perfectly safe, so please choose a strong password that you do not use elsewhere.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, I will update the date above and tell account holders by email.
